Viso's recycling efforts extend beyond concrete. As part of the demolition process, the company had previously taken metal products to scrap yards for reuse. Now, it does on-site processing for customers who have scrap metal they want to clean up.
"We go right to the customer's location and take care of everything," Ron pointed out. "Visco can do that for large industrial plants or someone who has a regular supply of excess metal.
In the past few years it's added wood to the list by shredding lumber to make three types of wood chips: landscaping, compost and "hog fuel" that can be sold for energy use.
Commercial Blue Box Recycling Program
Visco is excited to unveil its new Commercial Blue Box recycling program. The services within include site provided bins for all types of construction waste. We deliver, pick-up and track all the waste streams from your site.
The exciting part is we divert most of your construction waste from landfill. Your waste is converted into a recycled product and helps reduce the amount of waste land filled and lessen the burden on our environment. We have gone so far in our recycling efforts that all of our bins are recycled from other users and refurbished using recycled metal from our projects!
Metal Recycling Services
After handling millions of kilograms of scrap metal, we have become experts in the metal recycling industry. We now process, grade, package and ship over 15,000 tonne of metal a year. We create so much rebar from concrete recycling, that if it was stacked end to end it would stretch from Edmonton to Houston.
With one of our 4 shears, 3 grapples or one of our many other scrap processors we are able to efficiently handle and process your scrap metal. As part of our regular demolition service, we estimate the quantity of scrap metal on your site and use the salvage value to reduce your cost on cleaning up your site.
